Transforming Concepts into Reality
Andy French
BEng (Hons) IEng MICE
Managing Director
Andy has worked in the engineering industry for over twenty years, predominantly in consultancy within both large and small civil engineering and multidisciplinary engineering firms and also has experience as an employer, team manager, project manager and approving authority roles within local authority. He set up French Engineering to put these skills into action as an integrated service.
He is a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers and has a broad experience of civil engineering including highways and external works, earthworks and levels, sustainable drainage and flood risk, transport planning and utility services.
He is passionate about steering projects to success through early involvement and collaboration with the Client, Architect and wider consultant team to establish constraints and manage risk, inform the layout and guide the design to add value early on in the process. He is highly adept at tackling intricate technical designs in constrained sites and solving multifaceted problems.
When he is not solving engineering problems, Andy enjoys practical and outdoors challenges such as constructing small scale sustainable building projects and has helped build timber frame and strawbale low impact buildings.
